Vans Old Skool 36 LX Souvenir Oatmeal
o
Premium reinterpretation of a heritage skate silhouette, featuring a canvas and leather upper and vintage souvenir pins for a refined, distinctive style.
The Old Skool 36 LX brings back the original proportions of the Style 36, the model that introduced the iconic waffle outsole in 1966 and the skate aesthetic that has defined Vans’ identity ever since. This premium version reworks those historical roots with sharper edges and a shortened toe cap, faithfully recreating the character of the original silhouette through a contemporary, refined lens.
The canvas and leather upper balances durability and structure, while the padded collar and raised sidewall with a glossy finish enhance comfort compared with the standard model. The foxing tape, inspired by 1990s Osnaburg reinforcements, reflects the brand’s construction heritage, completed by iconic souvenir pins with an aged finish that add a distinctive, collectible detail to the Oatmeal colorway.
The vulcanized construction preserves the original look and feel, while the Sola Foam ADC footbed, made with at least 30% biobased PU foam and USDA Biobased certification, provides long-lasting comfort with attention to material sustainability. The waffle pattern on the sole confirms the reliable traction that has distinguished Vans since 1966, making this model a benchmark piece for those seeking premium reinterpretations of skate heritage.
